Is the calculator a lender quotation?
No. It uses the assumptions shown on this website. The external provider’s price, available amount, term and eligibility can differ. Read its written quotation before accepting an offer.
What does the R2 000 example cost?
At the standard model settings, R2 000 over 30 days totals R2 473.75. This includes R100 interest, R304.75 initiation fee and R69 service fee, with VAT included in those fees. Insurance is not included.
Why do monthly payments sometimes decrease?
With insurance included in this model, the premium is calculated on the outstanding balance. It falls as the balance falls, so the total monthly payment can decrease. Rounding can also change the final payment.
Are the discount scenarios a loyalty programme?
No. They illustrate how hypothetical changes to interest and initiation fees affect the total. They are not earned benefits and do not confirm a discount from an external provider.
What happens when I choose Apply now?
You leave this website through a paid referral link. The external provider handles its application and determines its own terms. BluCross may receive a commission if you take up an offer. Calculator inputs are not sent with that link.
Does a calculation mean I will be approved?
No. The calculator does not check identity, income, debts or a credit report. A provider makes its own assessment and may offer different terms or decline the application.
Who can help with an existing loan?
Use the verified contact details of the provider named on your agreement. BluCross does not hold your loan balance or repayment history and cannot change payments or issue settlement documents.
Does a DebiCheck confirmation mean a loan has been paid out?
No. Confirming debit-order details with your bank is separate from receiving a loan payment. Ask the actual lender about the payout status and check your bank account.
Do I need to upload documents to calculate?
No. The calculator runs in your browser without an account or ID. Do not send bank statements, passwords or identity documents to BluCross. An external application has its own document process and privacy notice.
