What is being checked
A lender may need to confirm account ownership and review income and commitments. Ask what data is required, who processes it and how long it is retained. A connected-account service and document upload can have different permissions.
Verify the channel
Start from the lender’s verified website. Read any bank-connection authorisation before accepting it and ask about alternatives if you are uncomfortable. Never give a password or banking PIN to someone claiming to be support.
No bank connection on BluCross
The calculator does not connect to a bank or verify an account. A verification request after leaving this site belongs to the external provider. Contact that provider if the request fails; do not email banking credentials here. See document preparation.
